Undergraduate students Kayla Chow and Pranav Hastak have mastered influenza virus plaque assays! Under the tutelage of Roksana Shirazi, senior graduate student, Pranav and Kayla spent Spring 2024 quarter learning cell culture techniques and the lab's favorite infectivity assay, the plaque assay. Kayla and Pranav gave an excellent joint presentation about influenza virus and what they had learned this quarter on Thursday May 23, 2024.
